Hello Randa

I hope you are well.

I just wanted to share some news about Eliza's transition and development in primary school after leaving children's house last summer. I know you said you like to get little updates of how the leavers are doing.

She was awarded the "Ryarsh Award for Excellence" at the end of last term and I truly believe that her love for learning began with you at children's house and you played such an important part in her achieving this award.

I have attached her award that her teacher wrote and a little photo of her after she got the award.

She still talks about you all most days and I feel so lucky that she got to be part of the children's house family.

Thank you for all you did for her.

Best wishes

Grace

Primary School's Year 6's Well being walk back to Children's House Montessori for a joint Forest School session.. back to where they started!

Some of these are the first children that attended Children's House when we opened in 2016, now as they turn 11 years in year 6 Primary school, we welcome them back. To celebrate the transition as they prepare for Secondary school we ran a joint Forest school session with both the year 6 and our nursery children.

Our daughter attended Children's House for 2years and couldn't have had a better start to her learning journey. The fantastic, caring and nurturing staff, lead by Randa, create a wonderfully calm and supportive atmosphere. The children feel safe to learn and independently choose topics, at their own pace.

This was my first introduction to the Montessori ethos, which is passionately observed at Children's House and I must say has irrefutable results.

I only wish that my daughter could have stayed for longer and there were more schools available offering such an incredible learning environment.

Ameila said when she came back to visit. "Every time my school bus drives passed Children's House I remember what the best time I had here and wish I could come back!"

Elizabeth said "I love Childrens House it was the thing I loved most when I was 2-5 I loved it so much I did not want to ever leave so I got to stay another year and I still come back whenever I can. All the children follow me when I come back, I love it, helping them make it their home like Randa [my mum] made it for me and whenever I go back. I always remember when she picked me up and swung me round at the end of the day and said I bought the nursery Lizzie, and soon after she introduced new things like forest school and pets and she aways took into account whatever the children of children house have to say."

I've attached a picture of Jude for you to see how big he has got! He is excelling in school and yesterday was awarded the schools award for the star pupil for the term which he is absolutely thrilled with! We feel that a lot of this is down to the Montessori ways so thank you!

Ollie amd Emma visit Children's House regularly, after graduating two years ago. We look forward to their visits not least because Ollie is a great Cook who bakes amazing chocolate cakes that he brings for the teachers and Emma is full of funny stories about her chickens. Can't wait to see you all again. On their last visit they promised they would visit every year so we can continue to watch them grow.
